Travel Itinerary

- Overview

Discover the highlights of Kerala on a 7-day tour from Cochin. Visit the hill station of Munnar, the wildlife sanctuary of Thekkady, the backwaters of Alleppey, and the beach of Kovalam.

Day 1 - Cochin - Munnar

Arrive in Cochin and transfer to Munnar. Visit the Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls on the way. Check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 2 - Munnar

After breakfast, visit the Echo Point and Mattupetty Dam. Enjoy a speedboat ride on the dam. Visit Rajamala, the home of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr mountain goats.

Day 3 - Munnar - Thekkady

Itinerary Image

Drive to Thekkady and check in to your hotel. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on Periyar Lake. Visit a plantation to see tea, coffee, cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon growing.

Day 4 - Thekkady - Alleppey

Drive to Kumarakom or Alleppey and check in to your hotel/houseboat. Take an optional 2-hour motorboat cruise through the backwaters of Kerala.

Day 5 - Alleppey - Kovalam

After breakfast, drive to Kovalam. Spend the rest of the day on the beach.

Day 6 - Kovalam

After breakfast, visit the Napier Museum and the Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple in Trivandrum. Spend the afternoon at leisure in Kovalam.

Day 7 - Kovalam - Trivandrum

Proceed for the sightseeing tour of Trivandrum after breakfast- Thiruvananthapuram, previously called Trivandrum, is an ancient city with tradition dating back to 1000 BC. This capital city of Kerala is a beautiful seaside metropolis built on seven hills. It is located on the west coast of India spreading over a total of 2,192 sq.km. Sightseeing tour is comprehensive with the visits to Padmanabhaswami Temple, Srichitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum and Zoo. Overnight stay is arranged in Kovalam.

Day 8 - After breakfast check out from the Hotel

After breakfast check out from the Hotel and drive to Trivandrum Airport / railway station (depend on your departure place) for your flight / train back home, feeling contented about a wonderful holiday you spent in the God's Own Country.
